 Vampires

• Tristan Namach - Very tall with black hair and silver eyes. His exact ancestry is unknown. He was turned in Egypt but was probably not born there. Possibly the oldest vampire currently in existence. His known animagus form is an Ice Dragon of enormous size, and it has been hinted that he may have other forms. Turned into a vampire over three thousand years ago he is possibly the single most powerful being on Earth. Something of a genius he invent the modern forms of bloodmagic and necromancy at a young age, along with all of their components such as bloodmetal and the Necromancer Guild. He is also credited with creating the first inferi. Often called the "Lord of Vampires" he rules in a slightly indirect manner, preferring to spend most of his time teaching. However he holds absolute authority over all other vampires (with the exception of Cyala Ateres) and makes sure they know it. His past is largely unknown to all but a select few. At a young age he killed all vampires older then himself, and from the resulting chaos rebuilt vampire society in the form he thought best. Charismatic and an excellent teacher he also enforces a ruthlessly draconian rule on the young vampires he teaches, weeding out the weak or foolish to ensure that the upper echelons of vampire society are populated by only the best. He is known to have continuing affairs with both Cyala Ateres and Ferraidar. His current familiar is a Magical Giant Frill-Necked Lizard named Eli who is something over three meters in length.
• Sharahak - A wanderer, a vampire with no home territory who travels the world. As such he possesses a vast array of skills and an immense store of knowledge. His exact age is unknown at this time, something over fifteen hundred years, but less than two thousand. During a battle with a demon he and the demon locked minds, in order to free himself and survive he was forced to sacrifice his body, taking up residence in that of the demon. However, many of his vampiric abilities and weaknesses remain and his personality is unchanged. He is a quiet unoffensive vampire who has no known ambitions and prefers to keep to himself. His appearance si that of a large cream and gray beta demon.
• Mariah - A highly respected researcher studying dragons. She is about tow thousand years old, and in the manner of most vampires, strikingly beautiful. Dragons are her life's passion and she has no other real interests. Focused to the point of obsession she has pursued knowledge of dragons for most of her life. She is something of a maverick among vampires. Her assistants are usually mortal slaves, however she goes to great lengths to get them the best education possible, and often frees them after she has felt they have served her well enough. Draco Malfoy, having escaped from Voldemort's dungeons, was captured by her and is her current slave and assistant.  
• Fayina Shiila - Manager/owner of business that mixes and sells blood. She is an entrepreneur who started a business using animal blood and has gradually expanded into human, werewolf and fae blood which she bottles and sells. She is also an influential Parselmouth and a co-author of the book The Greatest Gift, which details what parseltongue really is.
• Hadrian - City Master of London (UK) One of the original students of Akren he trained there as a mortal before being turned into a vampire in his late twenties. He was turned against his will and his creator was an extreme sadist and so abusive he almost managed to kill him. Tristan Namach, sensing Hadrian's potential and disapproving of a leading vampire torturing his apprentices to death, challenged him for Hadrian. Unwisely Hadrian's creator laughed at the challenge. Namach then killed him, plus two of his apprentices, and sent the remaining three off to other vampires to be trained, keeping Hadrian as his own apprentice. Two hundred years later Hadrian took over the Falkland Isles and built a trading empire. He challenged the Master of London soon after and won. He has ruled that city ever since. Usually a stern no-nonsense type he managed to turn London into a thriving vampire community.
• Vladimir Konovalov - City Master of Moscow (Russia) – territory is one of the largest. A bit over a thousand years in age. One of the original students of Akren. He has ruled Moscow and by default most of the Russian vampires for nearly eight hundred years.
• Bashadri - City Master of Madrid (Spain)
• Aliri Mshai - City Master of Luanda (Angola) - territory: northern half of country
• Kamenwati - City Master of Cairo (Egypt) - territory includes most of upper right quarter of country
• Sahvina - City Master of Oslo (Norway) - territory includes roughly half of Norway
• Alonae Shir'an - Master of Puerto Rico
• Sven - Master of Belize (dead) reported as being killed by demons during a fight in Mexico but he may have been killed instead by Cyala Ateres or Tristan Namach as punishment for disobeying them.
• Sergio Cesario - Master of Mexico City (Mexico) - territory includes middle third of country
• Inyez Fernandez - Commander of Sergio's private army and armed guard
• Raquel Mahan - Master of Guatemala (Guatemala)
• Anandi - Master of El Salvador. A vicious cruel vampire who is renowned for routinely torturing anyone who trespasses on her territory. As fierce as her hatred of outsiders is she is also extremely protective of her own vampires and El Salvador is home to large and relatively peaceful vampire population. She and Lord Hadrian have the same creator, long dead, and like him she was partly trained by Tristan Namach, though in her case only for a decade.
• Andrew Farov - One of Lord Hadrian's Generals, leads fighters, spies, interrogators
• Caroline Nightingale - Working to bring vampires to muggle knowledge, former leader of the student vampires
• Hilda Jakisep - Current leader of student vampires
• Saul Folvern - Student (dead) killed by Tristan Namach via soul decay
• Rianae Marvess - Student – daughter of vampiric ambassador to fae. She has an amazing talent at thread magic and her teachers believe she will be one of the youngest Thread Mages ever.
• Atalia - Student (dead), killed by the werewolf student Eric
• Geri - Student (dead) decapitated by Alexia (Ally)
• Drew - Student, brother of Geri

• Taiven Vachinto - Owner of two nightclubs in London. A long-time loyal follower of Lord Hadrian's he moved to London when Hadrian took over the city and will not leave until Hadrian does.
• Nurama - Head of security at Taiven’s clubs
• Auzric/Akanthos - Old vampire of unknown origins with an unknonw fate. Head of druid sect, vanished after summoning demons. Vanished after elves returned to investigate his activities.
• Ambrosius - Chief of Lord Hadrian’s security force  

• Cyala Ateres - matriarch (age is actually unknown, different depending upon source. Possibly a bit less than 2000yrs, possibly much older). Cyala's age is one of the great unknowns of the vampire community and the subject of much discussion, with estimates ranging from fifteen hundred to nearly three thousand.
• Kylara - half-sister (turned by Cyala) they had the same father as mortals, despite this Kylara is several centuries younger, how this came to be is unknown. This particular mystery is one of the more discussed bizarre features of the Ateres family, most vampires believe time-travel had to be involved. However both Cyala and Kylara will swear that they have never used a time turner.

• Silas - grandson, son of Shari and Mahleck (both dead), pet magical panther w/ hypnotic abilities (Nuri)
• Daray - grandson, son of Sabien & Elara, pet magical vampire bat named Satan
• Sierra - granddaughter, daughter of Shari and Mahleck (both dead) - trained in espionage, mind magic
• Grath - son - tech expert, degrees from several muggle universities in engineering and computer programming
• Vera - daughter-in-law (married to and turned by Grath) Weapons expert, Thread Mage
• Tashanna - granddaughter, daughter of Grath & Vera - Potions Master
• Norovosi - son of Kylara - White necromancer
• Janus - great grandson, son of Tashanna, specializes in magical animals, minor prophetic abilities, spell inventor

• Aidan - son - wand and staff maker, an enchanter who works with gems and various forms of jewelry
